Our client, a well established company recognised for their engineering excellence, is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Business Partner to truly partner with the business and take ownership for HR and industrial relations challenges, initially for a 6-12 month contract.
As HR Business Partner, you will work closely with and be the trusted advisor to the plant manager and your client group to deliver the full range of HR activities across the business. You will be responsible for the end to end implementation of strategic initiatives as well management of the day to day HR Operations. You will also take the lead with union matters, be key to facilitating positive employee relations and have a solid background in union and EBA negotiation.
Key areas of responsibility include
? Managing and developing the HR & IR services, policies and procedures.
? Ensuring compliance and assisting management in relation to employment legislation and regulations.
? Providing the full suite of HR services.
? Acting as a liaison for bargaining and negotiations with union and commission representatives
? Championing OH&S initiatives
? Leadership / Management development
? Talent and succession planning

The successful candidate will have considerable experience within a similar role, within a blue/white collar environment, outstanding relationship building and influencing skills. You will also have a solutions-focused approach and deal with issues and change in a proactive, positive and dynamic way. A proven track record in handling IR matters will also be key to your success. Tertiary qualifications in HR or IR will be well regarded.
